OFFICIAL REGULATION — “OBCINIADA NIGHT RUN” COMPETITION

IN. General

The competition “OBCINIADA NIGHT RUN” (hereinafter referred to as “The Competition”) is organized by the Obciniada team through the Durable Countries Association, together with the Bucovina Sportiv Club Association between Obcini.

The aim of the event is to promote movement (outdoor running, cycling, climbing/bouldering), encourage a healthy lifestyle and involve the local community in a fundraising drive for the education of disadvantaged children.

Participants in the Competition are obliged to comply with the terms and conditions of this Official Regulation, drawn up in accordance with the legislation in force and available free of charge on the website. By participating, each competitor declares that it has read, understood and agrees with the provisions of the Regulation and the applicable legislation.

II. Responsibility

  • Each participant is responsible for their own safety;
  • The organizers, sponsors, volunteers or partners are not liable for injuries, damages, cancellations or delays occurring during the event:
  • Participants must prioritize their personal safety and that of other participants;

Disclaimer: Signing it is mandatory when registering.

III. Registrations and Participation Kits

  • Incomplete registrations (with missing data) will be canceled.
  • When picking up the participation kit, all participants will present a valid ID and sign a statement on their own responsibility, in the presence of a representative of the organizer or a witness.
  • Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian, who will complete and sign the enrollment form, confirming the minor's medical fitness.

IV. Contest Numbers

  • The competition numbers are provided by the organizers and must be worn in plain sight (on the shirt/short) throughout the competition.
  • It is forbidden to change competition numbers between participants or replace them on the day of the competition.
  • Participants enrolled in the wrong gender category (e.g. male to female) will be automatically disqualified.
  • Violation of these rules leads to disqualification.

IN. First Aid — SMURD — Withdrawal

  • First aid is provided by the SMURD team, positioned in the Start/Arrival area.
  • In the event of an injury, the route referees will notify the SMURD team, which will intervene immediately.
  • Retreating participants must inform the volunteers on the route or the volunteers in the Start/Arrival area.
  • The event also benefits from the support of SALVAMONT, the Traffic Police, the Gendarmerie and the Local Police.

VI. Types of races

  • Children's Race — ~2km, through Ariniș Dendrologic Park
  • The People's Race — 5 km
  • Run on Toaca Cross — 12.5 km, 450 m level difference
  • Half Marathon - 23 km, 1080 m level difference

VII. Required equipment

  • Front with charged batteries;
  • Charged mobile phone;
  • Competition number and timing chip, provided by the organizer;

VIII. Validation of entries

  • The registration becomes valid only after confirmation of payment of the fee.
  • The presentation of an identity document is mandatory when picking up the participation kit.

IX. Cancellation of an enrolment

  • Reimbursement of the fee is made in part, by recreating the bank account associated with the card used, according to the conditions established by the organizers

X. Race or name changes

  • Transfer of an entry to another person or another race is possible, plus any differences in fees.
  • Requests must be sent by email to contact@obciniada.ro by May 10.

XI. Stoping/Withdrawing from the race

Organizers may suspend a participant in the event of:
  • Injury or major technical damage;
  • Exceeding time limits;
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior or non-compliance with the regulation.
Participants who abandon the race must immediately notify the organizers.
Search/save costs for an unannounced participant are borne by it.

XII. Chronometry

  • Timing is carried out using electronic chips.
  • The chip must be worn throughout the race. The loss of the chip leads to exclusion from the ranking.

XIII. Bookmarks

  • Trails are marked with reflective strips, signs and warning signals.
  • Deviations from the route lead to disqualification.

XIV. Checkpoints and Feeding

  • Participants must pass through all checkpoints. Failure to appear leads to disqualification.
  • Hydration and nutrition points are announced on the competition website.
  • Each participant must ensure that he has sufficient reserves of water and food between points.

XV. Contest categories

  • Individual rankings will be organized for each category. Open winners will not be included in the age rankings.
  • If the minimum number of 4 validated participants for a category is not reached, it will merge with the immediately lower age category, of the same sex (except Tura Family).

XVI. Force majeure

In the event of extreme weather conditions, organizers can:
  • Modify the routes;
  • Postpone the start;
  • Suspend or stop the competition;
  • Evacuate participants from risk areas.
Decisions will be communicated through:
  • The audio system in the Start/Arrival area;
  • Personnel on the route;
  • Suspend or stop the competition;
  • Official channels (site, Facebook, etc.).
Registration fees are non-refundable, but vouchers may be offered for the next edition or rescheduling of the event.

XVIII. Disqualifications

Sanctioned with disqualification:
  • Loss or change of contest number;
  • Failure to follow the route;
  • Use of a means of transport during the race;
  • Disposal of waste on the route (only at refueling points is allowed);
  • Disrespectful behavior towards other participants, organizers or volunteers;
  • Exceeding the time limit;
  • Presentation under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic substances.

XIX. Recommendations

Participants are advised to:
  • Canister with water/compact glass (there will be no plastic cups at moisture/feeding points);
  • Sticks or energizing gels;
  • Multitool/tools for minor repairs;
  • Rain sheet (if rainy weather is forecast)

XX. Personal data protection policy

  • Details of the processing of personal data collected during registration will be found in the privacy policy published on the official website of the event;
  • Participants have the right to request access, correction or deletion of their personal data, in accordance with the legislation in force;
  • Consent to the use of images and videos of participants is granted upon registration in the competition.
The organizers also undertake to comply with the provisions of Law no. 677/2001 on the protection of personal data. As such, the Organizer undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of the personal data of the participants/winners of this Competition and to use them in accordance with this Official Regulation, the declaration
participants at their own risk and the legislation in force. The organizers reserve the right to amend this Regulation until the start date of the competition with the obligation to notify the changes made on the website and at the venue of the competition.
Consent of participants to shooting/shooting during the competition
  • All participants give their consent by signing up to the fact that they will be photographed during the competition. The photos will then be made public online for personal use and promotion of the event
  • Participants can request the removal of some images by e-mail to the official address, within 15 days of publication. Applications will be dealt with insofar as they do not affect the official or documentary character of the material.

XXI. Other provisions

Organisers reserve the right to change routes, timetables or organisational details by publicly announcing such changes.
Participants are required to follow the instructions of the organizers, volunteers and security personnel.
